No bettor won contest no. 2,942 of the Mega-Sena this Saturday (22). The numbers 12, 30, 40, 46, 54, 60 were drawn. According to Caixa’s estimate, next Tuesday’s contest (25) is expected to pay R$18 million.
Twenty-six bets hit the corner and will receive a prize of R$80,200. The court was open to 2,092 bettors, who will receive a prize of R$1,643.73.
The minimum bet on Mega-Sena costs R$4.50. In this case, the chance of success (statistical probability) is one in more than 50 million.
Mega-Sena draws are usually held twice a week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays, but Caixa also promotes “Mega-Semanas”, when it holds three competitions – on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
In the last Mega-Sena contest, Caixa raised more than R$52.3 million. The bank’s website shows how the amount collected from betting is passed on to the federal government to finance expenses such as social security (17.32%) and the National Public Security Fund (9.26%), among others. The total prizes correspond to 43.35% of the amount collected.
