“For the safety of the user population, these works cannot be carried out while the service is being provided, so the partial closure of stations will be necessary to guarantee compliance with safety and quality standards,” the document stated.
During the adaptation work, the stations involved will remain out of service until the works are completed. In addition, some will have night closures during the diagnosis process prior to their total suspension. Eight stations will be intervened on Line 1; on Line 2 there will be only two, although they will concentrate the greatest workload and, therefore, will remain inactive for longer. Line 5 will be the most affected, with 10 stations subject to closures.
