Most citizens who expected to find large amounts forgotten in banks were disappointed. Receivables of up to R$ 1 represented 42.8% of releases to individuals, announced today (14) the Central Bank (BC). The volume refers to the total number of queries in the first phase of the Values ​​Receivable Program. Of the R$ 3.9 billion initially foreseen by the BC, R$ 3.28 billion were released to 27.3 million individuals. The remaining approximately R$ 620 million is earmarked for companies.

As there are cases in which the same CPF has more than one amount receivable, 32.4 million transactions were carried out. Of this total, transactions of up to R$1 accounted for 13.8 million releases. Values ​​between R$ 1 and R$ 10 corresponded to 8.7 million cases.

In the higher brackets, there were 36 thousand releases of amounts between R$ 10,000.01 and R$ 100 thousand (only 0.11% of the cases). Only 1,318 transfers resulted in the release of amounts above R$100 thousand (only 0.00004% of the total).

From today (14), people born between 1968 and 1983 or companies opened in that period will be able to request the withdrawal of forgotten resources in financial institutions. The process must be carried out in Values ​​Receivable websitecreated by the Central Bank for consulting and scheduling the withdrawal of residual balances.

The consultation opened on the evening of 13 February. At the time, the system itself informed the date and time when users with funds to withdraw must return to the site to make the appointment. The process runs until Friday (18). Anyone who misses the deadline or time can do a repechage on Saturday (19), from 4 am to 12 pm. Users who miss the recap will only be able to return from March 28.

After the withdrawal request, the financial institution will have up to 12 business days to make the transfer. The expectation is that payments made through PIX occur faster.

To schedule the withdrawal, the user must have a silver or gold account in the Portal Gov.br. Secure identification to access digital public services, the Gov.br account is available to all Brazilian citizens. Login has three security levels: bronze, for less sensitive services; silver, which allows access to many digital services; and gold, which allows access to all digital services.
