Representing the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, the vice minister for Latin America, Rander Peña, led the commemorative event for the 115th anniversary of Mexican Revolution Day, a historic event that symbolizes the fight of the Mexican people for justice, sovereignty and self-determination.

The activity was attended by the Mexican ambassador to Venezuela, Leopoldo de Gyves, as well as members of the diplomatic corps accredited to the Bolivarian nation. Peña, who also serves as executive secretary of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America – People’s Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP), highlighted the importance of this date for regional integration and the strengthening of ties of brotherhood between both countries.

In his words, Vice Minister Peña expressed: “This date reminds us of the firm will of a people who rose up for justice, sovereignty and self-determination.”

Next, he stated that the commemorative event “reaffirms our mutual commitment to work for the Nuestraamericana Union as the only path to definitive independence, peace and full respect for the sovereignty of our people.”

With this tribute, Venezuela reaffirms its solidarity with Mexico and ratifies the will to advance in the construction of a united, independent Latin America committed to peace and cooperation between its peoples.
