Tremendous mobilization of students from end to end, the most splendid that has ever been done! With these words the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, received the student march that took place on the occasion of Student Day this Friday.
The first national leader highlighted the joy with which the young people marched and pointed out that the “strength they have raised in each high school and in each university is the guarantee of peace and the future.”
He stressed that more than 40 universities have been created in the Revolution with the main objective of continuing to strengthen Venezuelan education.

The president invited the representatives of the Venezuelan Federation of University Students and the Federation of Secondary Education Students to attend the Council of Ministers next Monday at 2 in the afternoon, since their first meeting will be held in the Council of Ministers.
Maduro pointed out that starting Monday the students will have a “permanent seat” in the Council of Ministers, since they will form a government of student power.
“A government of student power and you articulate the organizational chart for this student government to function, so that the entire program that you have approved in the Constituent Congress of high schools and universities, we are seeing weekly in the Council of Ministers, in the Council of Vice Presidents.”
He added that he has always dreamed of a National Student Government and it is about to be born with grassroots power, with the Constituent Congress. «It gives power to those who have to have it, power cannot belong to surnames, nor to oligarchies, nor to elites, boys, learn that; “Power has to belong to the common man and woman, to the people who work, study, fight, power for the People, that is the essence of a true revolution.”
He also spoke out because the students break with the algorithms of the networks and social networks and make known through the recordings the great march carried out this Friday by the students. “Remove all the videos you have, let’s break the censorship and blockade,” he said.
He stressed that “the strength that you have raised in each high school and in each university is the guarantee of peace today, and of the peace of the future, and is the maximum guarantee of a people that builds the education of its Homeland with its own efforts,” he expressed.
During the day, the president swore in the new student authorities who were recently elected by vote.
The president also said that the Together Everything is Possible Corporation must “enter all universities,” as happened with the Central University of Venezuela, and that all study houses have laboratories, equipment and the necessary infrastructure.
Likewise, he applauded the initiative to create student Peace Brigades, so that they go out “to proclaim” the right to peace in all sectors.
Today youth is not a promise for the future
During the day with the students at the Miraflores Palace, the head of state questioned whether the current generation of young people is called “generation Z.”
In this regard, he said that “today our youth is not a promise for the future, it is a reality for the future, because it is today, it is already the future.”
