At least 12 people were injured in an accident on Trunk 10 near the town of El Cintilo, Roscio municipality, Bolívar state.
The accident occurred when the driver of an Encava transport unit tried to overtake another on the road, causing a serious accident that involved two trucks and a bus, according to witnesses at the scene.
The transport units loaded with passengers were stuck together, joining metal to metal, after the strong blow delivered by the cava truck, which was coming in the opposite direction and lost its right.
A total of 14 minutes passed for the different prevention and security forces to arrive at the scene to help the victims, including boys, girls, young people and older adults, who were transferred to the hospital in the Roscio municipality.
The Encava drivers who received immediate medical attention remain under investigation by the security forces, to investigate the causes of the road accident.
