Within the framework of the celebration of the National Venezuelan Student Day, young people took to the streets of Caracas to ratify their commitment to the country, the defense of peace and sovereignty, in times of imperial threat.
Attendees thanked the national government for the opportunity to access free, quality education, such is the case of Diego Rondón, a young man from the state of Trujillo, who emphasized the achievements achieved in the classrooms.
«We are grateful to the Government of Nicolás Maduro for its support for education, it is something that benefits all of us young people who take this career (medicine). Thank God we have this support,” he stated.
For her part, Yeskarly Arrollo highlighted that the teaching staff also makes their contribution by instilling love for the country.
“I am part of the University of Health Sciences, which has given me the opportunity to continue and give my grain of sand to this beautiful country, such as Venezuela, and each professor teaches us to fight against that hatred against Venezuela, that siege and all the bad things they want to do against this country,” he said from near Plaza Morelos in Bellas Artes, Caracas.
Likewise, Jesús Garcia, a nursing student in the state of Táchira, pointed out that the youth is actively working to consolidate the dream of Commander Chávez with the help of the communes.
“Here we are fighting and fighting alongside the entire Venezuelan people, of the popular State through the communes and the consolidated people and building the dream of Commander Hugo Chávez,” he stated.
More than 50 universities created in Revolución
The Minister of University Education, Ricardo Sánchez, highlighted that since the arrival of the Revolution more than 50 higher education centers have been created.
“Today the university education ecosystem is the most robust in the region, we are talking about 173 university education institutions, more than 50 universities created at the time of the Revolution, Commander Chávez and President Nicolás Maduro,” he stated.
Likewise, he highlighted that “today Caracas is overflowing from end to end, the Venezuelan student movement, united as one, in schools, high schools and universities, mobilized from end to end to take over the classrooms.
Youth summoned for the Great Consultation of 23N
On the other hand, the Minister of Youth, Sergio Lotartaro, highlighted that today students take to the streets to commemorate their Day, but that on November 23, they will go out en masse to choose their communal projects in the Great Consultation.
“Happy and content, the Day of the Venezuelan Student, where joy and enthusiasm is shared in the streets (…) but we are prepared for this November 23, which coincides with the birthday of President Nicolás Maduro, that we are prepared to give him the best gift, which is that all Venezuelan youth go to the electoral centers to choose the projects that have been nominated in their community,” he highlighted.
