Firefighters found a missing minor after the flood in Silvania. The search for two relatives continues.
The Cundinamarca Firefighters confirmed the discovery of the body of one of the women who were missing after the sudden rising recorded last Monday, November 17, on the road that leads to the municipality of Tibacuy.
The body was found a few kilometers from Club del Bosque, in the river that runs through the Las Granjas area. This point was crucial in the search efforts due to the sharp increase in flow.
The Identity of the Victim
According to the preliminary report of the Fire Department, the victim corresponds to a 16-year-old minor identified as Sofía Villota Escandón. The fire authorities announced that, in the next few hours, the Technical Criminal Investigation Corps (CTI) will be present at the scene to carry out the survey and judicial proceedings.

Search Continues for Two Relatives
With this discovery, the search process focuses on locating the two other missing peoplealso members of the same family, whose trace was lost after the emergency:
- Ana Lucía Villota Escandón (45 years old).
- Teresa Escandón (65 years old).
Alvaro Farfan, departmental delegate of Cundinamarca Firefighters, reiterated the commitment of the institution and the extensive operational deployment. The search remains active with units of the National Army, the group PONALSARand fire departments Silvania and Fusagasugá.

“We continue in the process of searching for the other two missing people, a process that has been led by the Fire Department of the municipality of Silvania, as well as the support of firefighters from Fusagasugá, personnel from the specialized group, who are in these important tasks in that sector,” said Farfán, indicating that the operations are concentrated between the rivers. El Hato and Chochó.
