Another person involved in the million-dollar robbery of a jewelry store in Bucaramanga was sent to prison.
The Attorney General’s Office reported that Wilfrido Adrián Cervantes Peinado was ordered detained in a prison for his alleged participation in the million-dollar theft that occurred on July 23, 2024 at a renowned jewelry store in Bucaramanga.
With this decision, There are already 11 people prosecuted for this criminal actwhich has been one of the most notorious robberies in the region.
According to the research, Cervantes Peinado would have been the one who entered the establishment wearing the uniform of a renowned courier company, a strategy that, according to authorities, would have served to distract the victims and facilitate the robbery without raising immediate suspicions.

The defendant was charged with the crimes of qualified and aggravated robbery; manufacture, trafficking and carrying of firearms or ammunition; and illegal use of uniforms and insignia, charges that he did not accept during the hearing. His capture was carried out in Curumaní, Cesar, by means of a court order executed by the National Police, in coordination with the Prosecutor’s Office.
