The only Departmental Boards that will not be present -2 in total- is because they do not have said Commissions in operation, case Thirty-Three, for example.

The organizational, coordination and articulation work has been intense in recent months, becoming accentuated in this final stretch towards the meeting.

The current Bench Coordinator of the Frente Amplio, together with Carlos Silva of the National Party, has been working on this same Commission since last period. “We worked very well in the previous period, now we have new colleagues, but it really is a Commission in which we feel very comfortable, it is nice how it works, and things are done, which is what is truly important” held.

“For those who wonder what the Councilors do, they would have to be in the day-to-day life of the Commissions to see what it is about. In the Tourism, Sports and Youth Commission we do things and we try to ensure that nothing is left pending and that the solutions are found as quickly as possible” he stated.

“Working together is how things like the Meeting that will be held here are done. There are 17 Tourism Commissions that will be present. For example, Thirty-Three is not coming because it does not have a Tourism Commission. The others will all be present. The Tourism Commission of the Binational Commission of the Río Negro will also come, the Tourism Commission of the Mayor’s Congress itself, the Vice Minister is coming and there is the possibility that a member of the Tourism Commission of the House of Representatives will arrive.” he detailed.

Beyond the importance of a Congress of these characteristics due to the topics that will be analyzed, there is also the tourism aspect itself, the economic movement that it generates in the city, because hotels and gastronomic ventures will be working at full capacity for at least two days. “It is a good injection for Melo at a time when he really needs it” The Mayor of the Frente Amplio pointed out.
