The President of the Republic, José Jeríhe avoided commenting on his party’s vote, We are Peruin favor of the expansion of the Reinfo (Comprehensive Mining Formalization Registry).
As recalled, the president’s political group voted en bloc to extend the registration period for Reinfo, which extends the crisis of illegal and informal mining in the country.
And that was highlighted by congresswoman Flor Pablo, of the Purple Party, on her official ‘X’ account, formerly Twitter, where she demanded that the head of state remain silent in the face of this “setback.”
“The Reinfo with 4 votes We are Peru. ¿José Jerí “He is going to remain silent and ensure that his party and allies in Congress seal this setback,” the parliamentarian tweeted.
Surprisingly, the President of the Republic – who is very active on social networks – responded to the congresswoman’s tweet by announcing that “I am going to act when it is my turn to act.”
The brief and enigmatic response of the head of state was compared by some users with those usually given by the political leader of APP, César Acuña, but it was also celebrated by many others.
