The IDCL has 6 open work fronts in the city of Melo
The Mayor highlighted the planning and subsequent execution of road infrastructure works that the General Director of Works has been developing.
At the moment there are 6 simultaneous points where different types of projects are being executed, with the possibility of opening a seventh place, which is bitumen in part of the FDI of Río Branco.
“Knowing how restless Nicolás Gramajo is, I was going to encounter this reality. He stayed in Melo at the beginning of this week to be able to coordinate more things. Today the number of work fronts that he has marked surpassed me. He has me half cornered because he made the decision to take on 6 work fronts and is heading towards a seventh work front.” stood out Christian Morel.
“They are working in the BIO Parque, in the Rivera Park, in the Murguía, in the Arpí, they are working in the paths of the northern area, they are working in the Popular neighborhood and they intend to bituminize part of the FDI of Río Branco” detailed the Mayor of Cerro Largo.
“I’m used to this rhythm, what we, together with the Director of the Treasury, have to do is ensure that there is no lack of money or personnel.” said. “Today we may be lacking a little staff because, as the municipal officials themselves say, they have never seen work on so many work fronts. Today perhaps we are lacking human resources to be able to cover so much.” he stated.
THE OTHER ADDRESSES
Morel is also satisfied with the work carried out in the other areas of the Departmental Executive.
“Social Management is trying to provide a better service to all the people who need it. We are a bit stuck with the Ministry of Housing, which is why the signing of the new loan for the contribution of the basket of materials has not yet been unlocked.” commented to THE DIARY PROFESSIONAL.
“In Services, everyone sees the dedication that Federico Pica is putting in, that Alejandro López is putting in, which also has me on the ropes because of the investment that is being made in the maintenance of the squares, in the reconditioning of central flowerbeds, what we are doing to be able to inaugurate route 26. Added to that is the work of the lighting team in Laguna to be able to turn on the lights before December 8” he pointed out.
“There are many work fronts, we said, and we should be prepared, but honestly sometimes it makes me sleep a little because although I have a team to get things done, many times there is a lack of money and a lack of human material.” said the Mayor of Cerro Largo.
COMPLYING WITH ANCAP
“This pace of work that Gramajo carries out demands a lot from me. We pay the $3,570,000 every month for a year, but we must also pay during that period all the consumption that is made and the consumption in the way that Nicolás is carrying it out means that in the month of November we are at almost $3,000,000” revealed.
“He made the team work on Saturday, he wants to take advantage of the time to recover what was lost” held.
“The effort we are making to comply with ANCAP is enormous” defined Christian Morel. “Working at so many points requires a lot of fuel costs, a lot of bitumen costs, and it is difficult for us. Beyond that, we are happy because people see the works and see that we are working everywhere.” he added.
COLLABORATION OF NEIGHBORS
The Community Chief appealed to the collaboration of the residents of the neighborhoods where the bituminous irrigation is being installed. He asked that they take out their vehicles in good time and not circulate until the work is completed.
“We were in Barrio Arpí. We entered with the gravel machine and there were neighbors who had not removed their cars, we asked them to do it, we need them to collaborate, we need them to see a primer or a closed street is not for driving. We need collaboration because a poorly done job ends up lasting a few days. If a good primer cannot be done, if they do not leave the places free, it is not possible to do things well” stated the Mayor of Cerro Largo.
“We ask the neighbors to be attentive and when they see that we are going to work in the neighborhood, the day before they leave their cars one or two blocks away. It is only one or two days that we keep the streets closed.” estimated.
“We are doing primer, something that is not always done, but we need people’s collaboration so that with that primer we can make a good base” Christian Morel insisted.
