The Ministry of the Interior, Justice and Peace explained that on a new deportation flight of Venezuelans, 129 men, 30 women, seven children and a teenager returned. The flight departed from Phoenix, Arizona
Authorities received this Wednesday at the Maiquetía international airport a new deportation flight from the United States, with 167 Venezuelan migrants.
The Ministry of the Interior, Justice and Peace explained, in a publication on Instagram, that on flight No. 88, 129 men, 30 women, seven children and a teenager returned from Phoenix, Arizona.
«This return is the result of strategic and planned coordination actions, under the firm guidelines of the Venezuelan State as part of Bolivarian peace diplomacy; which thus guarantee the safe and dignified return of these compatriots through the Great Mission Return to the Homeland,” the Ministry stated.
Despite the tensions between the United States government and the Maduro administration, following the military deployment ordered by Donald Trump in the Caribbean, the flights of the Great Mission Return to the Homeland continue, as agreed at the end of January between both countries. According to official figures, more than 17,000 Venezuelans have returned this year.

The Maduro administration assured that the Venezuelan migration, which according to the R4V platform reaches 7.5 million Venezuelans, was due to an “intense media campaign promoted by sectors of the Venezuelan opposition, with the purpose of encouraging their departure from the country.”
In addition, their compatriots said they live in “an environment of harassment, discredit, and violation of human rights” by the United States government.
