The president of the Bolivarian Republic, Nicolás Maduro Moros, highlighted that the delivery of the XX Dr. Humberto Fernández-Morán National Awards for Science, Technology and Innovation constitutes an example of the development of affirmative Venezuela, by emphasizing that it is a country of brilliant people.
The head of state emphasized that the activation of the Great Mission of Science, Technology and Innovation Dr. Humberto Fernández-Morán has made it possible to make visible the progress of the national scientific community.
“I believe that we have found the path of powerful articulation of a science useful for development, of a science for peace, of a multidiverse science. And now with this news that, next December barely completing the first year of the Humberto Fernández Morán University of Sciences, we already have 1,800 geniuses forging themselves as a golden generation of science. We must see the face of what Venezuela will be like when these geniuses are articulated to knowledge on the world’s front line,” he expressed.
The national leader added: “I am happy to see the harvest after sowing to continue sowing into the future.” In this sense, he recalled that in just a year and a half since the founding of the Great Mission of Science, Technology and Innovation Dr. Humberto Fernández-Morán, the highest level scientific knowledge gives concrete results in strategic areas such as health, food production, the activation of the industry and new information and communication technologies.
“The results they give to create the independent and sovereign fiber optic system, the knowledge and applied science in the field of artificial intelligence, quantum physics, robotics and others are impressive,” he noted.
President Maduro highlighted that these advances are also reflected in the field of national defense, by strengthening the weapons system in the hands of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), as part of the protection of the Republic.
