A new health emergency was registered in the city of Barinas with the admission to several healthcare centers of more than 30 students affected by alleged poisoning at the Alberto Arvelo Torrealba high school, Rómulo Betancourt parish, José Antonio Páez urbanization.
The adolescents who presented symptoms of severe illness, such as difficulty breathing, itchy eyes, some with seizures, were admitted to the emergency Dr. Luis Razetti Hospital, as well as the popular Dr. Fortoul Saavedra clinic and Funsalud for medical care.
With this incident there are five cases with similar characteristics registered in an educational institution in Barinas so far this school year.
After notification of the event, intelligence agencies immediately mobilized to the Alberto Arvelo Torrealba High School. The authorities are carrying out the corresponding investigations at the site to determine the exact cause of the poisoning, which until now remains under investigation.
There is still no official version of what happened. It is expected that the authorities will report on these events that generate concern among the educational community.
This Monday a similar situation was reported at the Bolivarian high school May 25more than a week ago it also occurred in the Mi Jardín institution and on two occasions it has been recorded in Colinas del Llano, located in Ciudad Varyná.
