The different demonstrations of the automotive world will be held on Saturday the 22nd in Parque Zorrilla
The different demonstrations that have to do with the automotive world will be concentrated from early afternoon until late at night on one of the main public walks in the city.
In addition to demonstrations of radical maneuvers, there will be an entrepreneurs’ fair, a food court, the election of the Nut Queen and an artistic show at the Municipal Summer Theater with performances by outstanding Tropical Music Bands.
“We try to have a party that is the icing on the cake of all these events that we have been organizing in these few months. In some way, we have reactivated motorcycling and motorsports in an incredible way. All over Uruguay they are talking about the good things we have done” manifested Daniel Perdomo in a press conference led by Mayor Christian Morel.
“We put together a small party on a single day where we are going to start with a contest of radical maneuvers for which people from Brazil come to join the people of Melo. The idea is to try to do something as a result of this great dilemma that we have here today with the radical maneuvers that are done in the streets. We are going to make a nice circuit where the best will be rewarded.” said the organizer of the 1st Tuerca Meeting.
The fundamental objective of the activity is to raise awareness about the inconvenience of performing this type of stunts in the streets and public spaces of the city. “We know that many people think that doing this has a negative influence later, but we try to contribute our grain of sand” held.
In this Meeting, which will take place on Saturday, November 22 from the 15th hour, the Nut Queen will be chosen on a catwalk that will be set up on the banks of the Arroyo Conventos, near the fountain of the toads.
“The radical maneuvers, with all the safety that this entails, are going to be done on the asphalt of the circuit” Perdomo reported.
There will be space to collaborate with the department’s entrepreneurs. “This in addition to the people who will set up stands for the sale of food and drinks” he pointed out.
The day will culminate in the evening with a musical show at the Municipal Summer Theater. “We are going to have 4 bands: Flor Ribeiro, Fede Rosas, Lucas y su Banda and Así Nomás” he detailed. “We will end with full cumbia with Alex Stella and Natanael Segovia who are two very good artists that we have in Uruguay. We are going to start early so that it will be a family show” projection.
“We are going to have the Chevettes, the motorcycle people and everything else. We are aiming for a totally family gathering so everyone can have an incredible Saturday. That is the most important thing” said Daniel Perdomo.
“The entrance fee will be $100, a modest fee, to see all these Bands. This sector will be in charge of the Paulina Luissi Movement with which we will also collaborate” he stressed.
LOOKING TO 2026.
This 1st Tuerca Meeting is on behalf of others that will surely come in successive years. “We have a great project in mind” advancement.
“Everything that is raised will have a very good end. We are going to wait for the money that is raised” he stated.
“We are going to present to the Municipality a balance sheet with everything that was spent, how it was spent and how much was spent. We want everything to be reflected because one does this from the heart, to collaborate, so that everyone works and it will also have a social purpose. Beyond the fact that the Paulina Luissi Movement is going to take a percentage, next Monday they are going to have a nice surprise about where the rest of the money will go.” expressed Daniel Perdomo.
