According to the agency, the “narcoblockades” that occurred this Monday were carried out by alleged members of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG), who set fire to a dozen vehicles to prevent passage on various federal and state highways.
The roads that were blocked were Morelia-Quiroga near the town of El Tigre; the Quiroga-Comanja road, near Santa e de la Laguna; the Mexico-Guadalajara highway near Huaniqueo; the Zamora-La Piedad road, near Las Fuentes, municipality of Ecuandureo.
In addition, the Zamora-Ecuandureo highway, near El Sauz, municipality of Zamora; Jacona-Jiquilpan, near Puerto de Lucas, Tangamandapio. Kilometer 15 of Quiroga-Pátzcuaro.
“The SSP of Michoacán is currently working to free the roads in different parts of the entity that are blocked; at the moment there are two suspects involved in the events who were killed,” the institution reported.
The agency reported that it is working through the C5 Michoacán cameras to obtain data that will allow it to find those responsible for these events.
