The Minister for Defense, Vladimir Padrino López, stated on his Instagram account that the Ayacucho Plan represents a historic opportunity to transform, strengthen and project the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (Fanb) in the midst of any situation.
According to the military chief, this roadmap will allow the development of strategic capabilities and the consolidation of the military power of the Homeland in the 21st century.
Ayacucho Plan 2024-2030
The Ayacucho Plan 2024-2030 was approved in December 2024 during the commemoration of the 200 years of the Battle of Ayacucho, considered a milestone in Latin American independence.
President Nicolas Maduro presented it as a project to deepen the military revolution nationalist, anti-imperialist and Bolivarian, with the aim of strengthening the ranks of the Fanb.
According to official statements, the plan is based on:
- Restructuring and territorial redistribution of military forces.
- Creation of new organizational structures to respond to contemporary threats.
- Modernization of technological and logistical capabilities of the Fanb.
- Strengthening the civil-military union, considered key to the comprehensive defense of the nation.
Strategic projection
Minister Padrino López has insisted that the Ayacucho Plan is not just a roadmap, but a decisive strategy to guarantee Venezuela’s military response capacity in the face of threat scenarios. “All the things we can do within the framework of the Ayacucho Plan to transform the Bolivarian National Armed Forces, we will do.
“(…) this opportunity serves to deploy it, develop it, strengthen it. There will not be another opportunity. The opportunity is now,” he expressed in recent statements.
