Carlo Ancelotti, Brazil coach, spoke this Monday about the possibility of renewing his relationship with the five-time world champion, which expires at the end of the 2026 World Cup after taking office last May. Tomorrow the ‘Canarinha’ will play a friendly in Lille (France) against Tunisia.
“We have not talked about it, but it is possible. I feel very good here, I have no other idea other than Brazil. To continue we have to be more of those who decide. I am not in a hurry. The contract before the World Cup may be cheaper, but it is still more expensive afterward,” He joked about a possible conquest of the sixth World Cup for the ‘Verdeamarela’.
It is not the first time that the Italian coach has expressed his intention to extend the link with Brazil. Last September, in an interview with the media in that country, Ancelotti indicated that “it would be legal (great)” extend his career on the Brazil bench until the 2030 World Cup.
The Italian took office on May 12, still as coach of Real Madrid, with whom, in two different stages (2013-2015 and 2021-2025), he became the most successful coach in its history with 15 titles: 3 Champions League, 2 Club World Cups, 1 Intercontinental Cup, 3 European Super Cups, 2 Leagues, 2 Copas del Rey and 2 Spanish Super Cups.
