José Jerí from Huancayo: “I invite critical voices to work together. This Government is for everyone”

José Jerí from Huancayo: "I invite critical voices to work together. This Government is for everyone"

From Huancayoin the middle of the work day, the President of the Republic, José Jerí, He launched a firm call for unity and collaboration between all political and social sectors, including those who maintain critical positions towards his management.

The head of state maintained that the Government of Transition and National Reconciliation has the mission of directing the country towards a stable future and that to do so it is essential to work without labels or confrontations.

“The Government is for everyone, for those who are in favor and for those who are not. I invite those critical voices to convey their proposals. Let’s stop putting labels on ourselves and let’s work together. This government leaves on July 28, 2026. I am not going to run for anything,” Jerí stressed, in a direct message aimed at dismantling political speculation and reinforcing the temporary nature of his administration.

The president assured that, as Peruvians, it is appropriate to take advantage of the remaining time of the transition government to “get things on track” and build consensus that will allow progress on urgent issues for the country.

“That should be the objective, and so we are going to walk hand in hand. I extend my hand to the critical voices so that we can work on the basis of the proposal, to take it into action. I am committed to listening to them, but let’s work together,” he said.

During the supervision of the works of the Arequipa Bridge, in Huancayo, Jerí insisted that the management of the country cannot be done from a desk.

“From there it will never be possible to understand the real needs of the population, whether the hospital works or whether the police vehicles are being maintained,” he stated.

The president stressed that his decision to tour the national territory responds precisely to the urgency of knowing first-hand the shortcomings and demands of citizens. “It was a right decision to travel the country. Only by traveling, interacting, is when better things will be done,” he added.

“A government of short duration, but of great responsibility”

Jerí recalled that his administration has a limited duration, but stressed that this does not mean that its impact is less.
“A transitional government is a short-lived government, but we are the transition for the future. That is what we want to be and that is what we are going to build,” he expressed to authorities and workers.

The president also maintained that criticism is necessary and should be understood as an incentive to improve, be more assertive and reduce errors in decision-making.
