Midagri considers that the dairy industry does not "serve" small producers

In this sense, the minister announced that his office has summoned businessmen “to tell them that small producers need to be attended to in their claims.”

Our dairy brothers are about to close because the cost of milk has stagnated and the industry is not serving them. We are here to talk with the industry and we cannot continue to turn a deaf ear for so long, and we believe that dairy producers should be heeded in their requests”, he asserted.

Zea participated in the delivery ceremony of 300 tons of guano from the islands within the framework of the “Guano from the islands for family farming 2022″ campaign.

Through the Agro Rural program, Midagri’s goal this year is to extract 102,000 tons of guano from the islands, to benefit 150,000 households of agricultural producers.

As part of the launch of the campaign, a total of 102,000 tons of guano will be extracted from the islands (52,000 tons of nitrogenous island guano and 50,000 tons of phosphated island guano), the extraction of which will benefit 150,000 family farming households.

The minister also said that with this shipment of 300 tons of natural fertilizer, it is planned to reach the warehouses of Huancayo, Pangoa, Río Negro, La Merced, Satipo and Pichanaqui to favor the same number of families of agricultural producers.

With the use of guano from the islands, it is expected to fertilize more than 168,000 hectares and sell 74,442 tons (38,842 tons of nitrogenous guano and 35,600 of phosphated guano). It is also a fertilizer that is mainly intended for family and organic agriculture at the national level.
