Diogo Moreira secured the title because in the last stage of the season, held in Valencia (Spain), he finished in 10th place. The only rider with a chance of taking the Brazilian’s victory, Spaniard Manuel Gonzalez, from Liqui Moly Dynavolt Intact GP, had problems with his bike and only finished in 22nd place, which was insufficient to threaten the Brazilian’s title.
In this way, Diogo Moreira ended the season with the title thanks to 286 points in total, while Manuel González secured runner-up with a total of 257 points.
