The Executive made official the appointment of Carlos Isaac Bianchi Ramírez as new president of the Board of Directors of Perupetro SAin accordance with Supreme Resolution 016-2025-EM, published in an extraordinary edition of the Legal Standards bulletin of the official newspaper The Peruvian.
The measure was made official through the resolution endorsed by the President of the Republic, José Enrique Jerí Oré, and the Minister of Energy and Mines, Luis Enrique Bravo de la Cruz. With this, a new stage begins in Perupetro SA, after the departure of Pedro Oswaldo Chira Fernández, whom the Government thanked for the services provided during his administration.
Perupetro SA is a state-owned company under private law assigned to the Energy and Mines sector, established under the General Companies Law (Law 26887). According to its Organization and Functions Law (Law 26225), the Board of Directors is made up of five members and its presidency is appointed by supreme resolution.
Who is Carlos Bianchi?
With more than 28 years of experience in hydrocarbon exploration and development, Carlos Bianchi has a solid academic background: he has a master’s degree in Geology, he has a second master’s degree in Geology with a mention in Tectonics and Regional Geology, as well as an MBA and a certification in Finance.
His career includes the generation of exploratory prospects, reservoir evaluation, secondary recovery projects, workover proposals and 2D and 3D seismic interpretation. He also stands out for his leadership capacity and his command of English, which has allowed him to lead teams and projects in Peru, Colombia, Ecuador, Asia and Africa.
In the professional field, Bianchi has held key positions in high-impact companies in the industry. Since 2012 he has led the Exploration and New Business management at SK Innovation / Moche Energy, and before that he was Exploration Manager at Ecopetrol del Perú and at SK Energy – Peruvian Branch.
His experience also dates back to companies such as Petro-Tech Peruana, Sapet Development Inc. and Petróleos del Mar (Petromar), where he worked as a senior geologist and geophysicist.
Between 2021 and 2023, according to his resume, he served as contract supervision manager for Petroperú.
