Various regions of the country participated this weekend in military maneuvers as part of the Independence Plan 200 framed in the guidelines of comprehensive protection and in the coordination between the Popular Power, the military forces and the police forces, committed to territorial defense and the strengthening of patriotic consciousness.
From the Generalísimo Francisco de Miranda Air Base, in Caracas, these military maneuvers were carried out in perfect popular-military-police fusion, reported the commander of the Capital Comprehensive Defense Operational Zone (ZODI) No. 81, G/D José Figuera Valdez, according to a VTV note.
In that sense, the military personnel indicate that “a comprehensive aerospace defense and defense system were activated to prevent the establishment of an air base or any enemy position in Venezuelan territory.”
Maneuvers in Bolívar
For its part, in the state of Bolívar, from the Comprehensive Defense Operational Zone No. 62, the various Military Maneuvers of the Independence Plan 200 were strengthened. They noted that from the Strategic Operational Command of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (Ceofanb) “we began this exercise for the defense of ports and airports throughout the Venezuelan State and, specifically, in the eastern entity of the country, we protected the International Airport Manuel Carlos Piar and the Lieutenant Colonel Teófilo Méndez Air Base.”
La Guaira
Next, in the Third Marine Infantry Brigade G/B Manuela Sáenz, in the state of La Guaira, teams were deployed in the context of ensuring the Military Maneuvers of the Independence Plan 200.
During this activity, the members of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces guard the facilities of the “Simón Bolívar” International Airport in Maiquetía. In addition, tactical operations are carried out that contribute to the defense of the entity.
Miranda
From the Higuerote Airport, in the state of Miranda, members of the Comprehensive Defense Operational Zone carried out missions to strengthen military maneuvers as part of the Independence Plan 200.
“We are deployed in the Brión municipality to the maximum with all means and equipment, to continue preparing to preserve peace,” FANB officials said.
Carabobo
Officials from the Comprehensive Defense Operational Zone of the state of Carabobo joined the strengthening of military maneuvers to guarantee national sovereignty. “We are in the coastal axis of the Carabobo state and, in that sense, the Bolivarian National Armed Forces are in perfect popular-military-police fusion at the General Bartolomé Salom Airport to guarantee our sovereignty and independence of our geographical space,” highlighted members of the military corps.
