The magistrates of the Permanent Supraprovincial Collegiate Criminal Court of San Román sentenced a former police officer who was investigated for sexual rape against a young woman to 20 years of effective freedom.
The events occurred on April 14, 2023 in the city of Macusani, province of Carabaya, when a 22-year-old girl went to a nightclub with PNP non-commissioned officer Wilber Timo Cc.A., and two other agents. After consuming alcoholic beverages, they left and entered another establishment.
According to the complaint, at dawn on April 15, the victim and the now sentenced man left the nightclub in a police vehicle, however, He would have taken him to the old police station location where he would have sexually abused him.
Due to the aggressor’s carelessness, the young woman fled and in tears asked the community’s cleaning workers for help, then she was taken by the night watchmen to the Macusani hospital.
After the investigations, the Public Ministry considered the incident as aggravated sexual rape, for which it requested 20 years with 11 months and 6 days of effective freedom sentence against the non-commissioned officer Wilber Timo. In addition, he requested 10 thousand soles in civil reparation.
The magistrates of the Collegiate Criminal Court made up of judges: Víctor Alberto Paredes Mestas (director of debates), Richard Condori Chambi and Yésica Condori Chata, issued the conviction No. 122-2025, sentencing the investigated person to 20 years with 11 months and 6 days in prison against the agent involved.
