Delia Espinoza sent a notarized letter to Congressman Fernando Rospigliosi, demanding that he publicly rectify himself within a maximum period of 24 hours for a series of statements that, according to his legal defense, affect his honor and integrity.
The document was disseminated by Rospigliosi himself on his X account, where he maintained that the prosecutor “threatens to sue him.”
According to the letter signed by criminal lawyer Julio A. Huerta Barrera, Rospigliosi would have made several statements in television interviews and in publications on social networks in which he described the former prosecutor as a “pro-terrorist.”
The text mentions that, during an interview with Milagros Leiva in Willax, the former minister attributed “unhinged” behavior to Espinoza and accused her of dedicating herself to “protecting terrorism and crime.”
The defense maintains that these statements constitute a direct and intentional attack that violates Espinoza’s “fundamental rights.” For this reason, Espinoza demands that the congressman rectify himself “by the same means and with the same level of dissemination” in which he made the accusations.
After disseminating the letter, Rospigliosi responded in the same publication that Espinoza is a “trigger-happy former prosecutor” who “persecutes those who criticize her” and that she would be trying to resume a position to continue “destroying what remains of the prosecutor’s office.”
Likewise, he urged the National Board of Justice to “make itself respected” in the face of what he considers an attempt to return to the Public Ministry.
