The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, called this Saturday to all the people of the eastern states from the south of Bolívar, Monagas, Sucre, Anzoátegui and Nueva Esparta, in a perfect fusion of popular, military, and police and to establish a vigil and a permanent march in the streets with the flag of Venezuela raised high in the face of the new threats that loom against the country, after the announcement of the military exercises between Trinidad and Tobago and the United States.
In this regard, Maduro indicated that the Government of Trinidad and Tobago has once again announced the execution of irresponsible military exercises in its waters off the coast of the state of Sucre, with the intention of projecting a threatening attitude towards the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
«They say they are going to do it from Monday to Thursday (…) Well, the people of Trinidad and Tobago will see. “If it continues to tolerate the use of its waters and land to seriously threaten the peace of the Caribbean,” he said.
During the swearing-in ceremony of the Bolivarian Comprehensive Base Committees of the PSUV in the Petare parish, Miranda state, the head of state urged the popular, social, political, military and special forces of the Homeland to remain firm in revolutionary unity and discipline, without falling into provocations. At the same time, he called for mobilization with patriotic fervor, to send a clear and forceful message: “Imperialist ships out of here, military threats out of here. Venezuela is respected!”
«Venezuela respects itself. We demand respect for this homeland of honor, peace and truth. “This town has enough power in the streets. This town has enough power in all the cities, this town has enough power.”
Maduro expressed that the “sayonist” far-right intends to hand over Venezuela to dark forces; However, in the face of this, the dignity of the Venezuelan people rises and does not bow down or surrender.
At the same time, he stressed that it is the ordinary Venezuelans, united, organized and empowered in the streets, who constitute the greatest guarantee of sovereignty, peace, the right to the future and happiness of growing generations.
«As our commander Chávez said, there are quite a few mountains here. There are quite a few determined people here. There is enough perfect, popular, military, police union and there are enough balls and ovaries here to defend this country and win perpetual peace for today and forever,” he asserted.
He reiterated that the intentions of the North American empire are to strip Venezuela of its natural resources. «We don’t mess with anyone in this world. They want to steal the oil. We are going to let them steal Venezuela’s oil. They want to steal Venezuela’s gas. Are we going to leave them?
Earlier, the Government of Trinidad and Tobago announced new joint military exercises with the United Statesin the midst of the deployment of the Armed Forces and US bombings in the Caribbean and the Pacific that, according to Washington, seek to confront drug trafficking.
