Regime charges up to 71 million for brand sponsorships in the National Baseball Series

The campaign attempts to capture the attention of companies and brands that wish to advertise in the current edition of the National Baseball Series.

LIMA, Peru – The Castro regime, through its sports entities, launched a sponsorship invitation for the 64th National Baseball Series (SNB) with which it seeks to collect from interested companies up to more than 71 million Cuban pesos (CUP).

The proposal attempts to capture the attention of companies and brands that wish to capitalize on baseball fans on the Island, by announcing it in the current edition of the SNB.

“The National Baseball Series is not just a tournament; it is the sporting and cultural heartbeat of a nation (…) We invite you to be part of this history, associating your brand with one of the most authentic and exciting sports traditions in the world,” the official document states.

The state Cubadeportes SA She is in charge of leading the campaign. Since 1992 the company has had the exclusive rights to market products and services related to Cuban sports.

The campaign, which is also carried out through the Cuban Baseball and Softball Federation, promises “national and international visibility” for sponsors, with “broadcasts in Cuban media and global reach through alliances with sports platforms.” Likewise, it ensures “credibility” and “measurable return on investment”, from the “increase in brand recognition” and “even sales associated with thematic campaigns”.

The entities of the Cuban regime designed four packages of offers for the 64 SNB: bronze sponsor, with a price of 13,125,000 CUP or approximately 24,344 dollars according to the informal exchange rate; silver sponsor, for an amount of 24,375,000 CUP (50,781 dollars); diamond sponsor, with a price of 56,250,000 CUP (117,188 dollars); and gold sponsor, the most ambitious of all, for 71,250,000 CUP (148,438 dollars).

Each of the packages has different benefits and visibility advantages depending on the category, including rights to display logos and advertise brands on television or digital broadcasts, sports stadiums, interviews and other spaces.

The claims of Cubadeportes SA and its million-dollar sponsorship proposal contrast with the situation on the Island and the limited scope of sporting events nowadays, especially due to the constant electrical blackouts that prevent watching sports broadcasts.

On the other hand, since its beginning last August, the 64th National Baseball Series has had an eventful development. Several game cancellations have been motivated by problems such as lack of fuel, influence of rain and meteorological events (Hurricane Melissa), and more recently the epidemiological situation (sick players).
