Confirmed registrants will solve 90 multiple-choice questions, 45 items from mathematics and another 45 questions from natural sciences (chemistry, physics and biology).

On Sunday (9), of the more than 4.81 million confirmed participants in the exam, 27% missed the first day of the tests. Even so, these candidates can appear on the second day of the tests, at the location indicated on the Registration Confirmation Card, accessible from Participant Pageon the website of the National Institute of Educational Studies and Research Anísio Teixeira (Inep).

Participants affected by logistical problems, such as natural disasters, or affected by infectious diseases listed in the notice, will have the right to retake the test. This is the case of the 106 candidates from the municipality of Rio Bonito do Iguaçu, in Paraná, who were prevented from taking the test after the tornado that devastated the region on the eve of the exam. The tests for cases approved by Inep will be reapplied on December 16th and 17th.

Guidelines

THE Brazil Agency brought together the main guidelines from Inep, responsible for administering the exam, on identification documents, permitted items, schedules and issues involving taking the tests. The objective is to avoid setbacks before crossing the gates of the test sites, which will be open until 1 pm, and also during the exam.

The gates to the test sites will open at 12pm and close at 1pm, Brasília time. Candidates who live in states with a different time zone than the federal capital must convert local times and adjust to the official time zone.

Participants are prohibited from entering the test site after the gates of the test sites have closed.

The duration of the exam will be 5 hours and the regular end is scheduled for 6:30 pm. Therefore, half an hour earlier compared to the first Sunday of the tests.

To be permanently absent from the exam room, 2 hours must pass before the start of the exam. Only after this time has elapsed, that is, from 3:30 p.m., will the participant be allowed to sign the attendance list so that the participant can leave without the test booklet.

Additional time

For the participant with an approved additional time request, the exam will end 60 minutes after the regular time, at 7:30 pm.

Candidates who use the video test feature in Brazilian Sign Language (Libras) will be able to complete the test until 8:30 pm.

Inep clarifies that there will be no extension of the time allotted for taking the tests or for filling out the answer card or essay sheet.

The rules are listed in notice available on the Inep Participant Page.

Logistics

Candidates must plan logistically so as not to miss the gate closing time.

External factors that may delay travel to the test location must be considered, such as heavy traffic and other situations more common on Sundays, such as public transport on buses, subways or trains with reduced circulation times.

It is worth checking the travel time, alternative routes and different modes to reach the unit highlighted on the candidate’s registration card. The demand for app cars is high at peak times between 11 am and 1 pm on Enem Sundays, which can cause a delay in finding a driver who accepts the ride. Furthermore, prices may rise.

The Enem organization will accept identification with documents in physical or digital formats. Smartphone screen prints and photos of documents will not be accepted.

Since the 2024 edition, the digital National Identity Card has been accepted, which integrates the citizen’s identification data and reduces the possibility of fraud.

The digital CIN and other documents, such as e-Título, National Driving License (CNH) or Identity Card, formerly the General Registry (RG), can also be presented through the federal government services application, gov.br.

The candidate can still access the official CNH Digital application through gov.br.

Just show everything in the official applications, previously installed on the candidate’s cell phone. Therefore, the golden tip is not to leave installing apps until the last moment.

In addition to those already mentioned, documentation for foreigners will also be accepted, in accordance with the terms of the Agreement on Travel Documents of the States Parties to Mercosur and Associated States.

Black pen

The test must be answered with a black ink ballpoint pen, made of transparent material.

Candidates with specialized care for autism spectrum disorder will be able to use a pen made of transparent material with colored ink exclusively for markings in the question booklet. However, the response card, regardless of the situation, must be filled out exclusively with a black ink pen.

Registration Confirmation Card

Although it is not a mandatory item, Inep recommends taking a printed Registration Confirmation Card, also available on the Participant Page, with a single login to the gov.br platform. Among other information, the document contains the registration number, date, time and location of the test, in addition to recording that the person must receive certain specialized care or treatment using their social name, if applicable.

Envelope

Books, manuals, printed materials, notes, hearing protection will not be allowed for any type of consultation by the candidate. Before entering the room, these items must be stored unplugged in the storage envelope, before the participant enters the application site.

Likewise, stationery materials such as pencils, mechanical pencils, erasers, rulers, or even a ballpoint pen made of non-transparent material cannot be left under the candidate’s desk.

Dark glasses and headgear items such as caps, hats, visors, beanies or similar items must also be kept in the envelope.

The envelope must be kept under the seat, sealed and identified, from entering the testing room until definitively leaving the testing location.

After the gates close, if the candidate needs to use the bathroom before the start of the test or during the application, they will be accompanied by the invigilator. Upon returning to the testing room, the participant must go through a new identification process, even if they had previously identified. The objective is to ensure that the person who left the room is the same person who is returning to take the exam.

After the exam ends and the candidate leaves the exam room, the candidate will no longer be able to use the bathroom at the exam location.

Final exit

When the participant decides to hand in the answer card and essay sheet and permanently leaves the room, their participation is considered to be over. From this moment of definitive departure, the participant is prohibited from returning to the application room.

Evidence materials

The notice rule establishes the conditions for the removal of official test materials from the place of application by the participant. The measures aim to protect the security and confidentiality of evidence. Therefore, the removal of the question book is only authorized if the participant leaves the room permanently within the last 30 minutes before the official end time of the test, that is, at 6:30 pm.

The answer card and writing sheet cannot be taken under any circumstances. If the participant chooses to end the exam and leaves the room before this 30-minute interval, the question booklet must be returned to the administrator, along with the other materials.

Belém, Ananindeua and Marituba, municipalities in Pará, will have a different application of the Enem due to the 30th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP30) in the capital of Pará.
