Extra batch of R$ 156.4 million of the salary bonus will be paid today

Around 152,400 workers with a formal contract for at least 30 days in 2023 with a salary of up to two minimum wages will receive extra money. The federal government releases this Saturday (15) an extra batch of R$ 156.4 million from the salary bonus from the Social Integration Program (PIS) and the Public Servants’ Asset Formation Program (Pasep).Extra batch of R$ 156.4 million of the salary bonus will be paid today

The money will benefit both workers who have not yet received the benefit and those who have requested a review of the salary bonus through an administrative appeal. In the case of those who appealed, payments continue to be issued until the end of the year, every 15th or the first business day thereafter, according to the Ministry of Labor and Employment.

Workers can check the release of the salary bonus in the Digital Work Card application. The consultation is also available on gov.br portal.

Benefits range from R$126.50 to R$1,518.00, depending on the number of months worked in 2023, the base year for calculating the benefit. The resources will be available for withdrawal until December 29th.

Who is entitled:

  • Have been registered with PIS/Pasep or CNIS for at least five years;
  • Worked with a formal contract for at least 30 days in 2023;
  • Received average remuneration of up to two minimum wages in the period;
  • Had your data correctly informed by the employer in Rais or eSocial;
  • The extra batch only includes workers who met the general criteria, but had their information corrected and resent by June of this year.

The following are not entitled to the salary bonus:

  • Domestic employees;
  • Rural and urban workers hired by individuals;
  • Employees of natural persons equivalent to legal entities.

How to check if you will receive:

  • Digital Work Card application: simply access with CPF and gov.br password, go to the “Benefits” tab and select “Salary Allowance”;
  • Central Alô Trabalho (158): free service;
  • Caixa Trabalhador and Caixa Tem applications, for private sector workers.

How payment will be made

For those who receive PIS (private sector workers):

  • Automatic credit for those who have an account at Caixa Econômica Federal;
  • Digital Social Savings accessed by Caixa Tem;
  • Withdraw with a Citizen Card at terminals, lottery outlets and Caixa Aqui correspondents;
  • Withdrawal in person at Caixa branches with identification document.

For those who receive Pasep (public servants and state-owned workers):

  • Current account credit at Banco do Brasil (BB);
  • Transfer via TED or PIX to other institutions;
  • Withdrawal in person at BB branches.

Deadline and resources

Withdrawals can be made until December 29th. Anyone who believes they are entitled to the salary bonus, but was not included in the batch, can register an appeal directly in the Digital Work Card application.

Doubts can be clarified by calling 158 (Alô Trabalho), by email [email protected] (replacing “uf” with the state acronym) or at the Regional Labor Superintendencies.
