
More than 40 children were transferred to the San José Cuatro Vía outpatient clinic, in the Jesús Enrique Lossada municipality, in the state of Zulia, when they showed signs of intoxication.
Some had to be taken to the Chiquinquirá and University Hospitals to receive specialized care and the cases of mild poisoning remain in La Concepción.
The incident occurred this Thursday morning, when they apparently carried out fumigation work in the area, which caused vomiting, nausea, sore throat, weakness, among other symptoms, in the minors.
The Emergency Brigade of the PNB, Regional Police and the Maracaibo Firefighters proceeded to transfer the minors.
The authorities began investigations to determine the causes of the poisoning.
