Colmenares: youth take on the challenges to defend the Homeland

The vice president of the Jpsuv, Grecia Colmenares, pointed out that Venezuelan youth is willing to continue building the communes and join the activities necessary to defend the Homeland.

He made this statement during his speech at the National Meeting with the Youth Committees of the Communes, headed by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, and held in the Ezequiel Zamora park (El Calvario).

“We have come to fill the streets of Caracas from all latitudes of Venezuela,” said Colmenares, who said that everyone is grateful to the first national leader for the opportunity to “experience what the construction of territorial leadership means, what participatory, popular and direct democracy means.”

He added that the Venezuelan youth believes in the head of state, who believes in the youth. “Here is the result, more than 5,336 teams, committees, throughout the national territory, that are willing to organize, to continue training and above all to continue showing their face in the territory, to continue building the commune.”

The Jpsuv representative subscribed to Maduro’s words that the “commune is the antidote to defeat fascism” and that with neighbors we can “build a better homeland and a better home.”

«In that call president, there are the challenges, to continue forging the esprit de corps of each of our communes, of each of our communal circuits. “Continue to attract hundreds of thousands of young people who today are in high school, university, in factories, but also have a nucleus, a real space for political impact in their community and family,” he expressed.

Colmenares said that in the midst of the challenges, we must have a clear attitude towards the moment that Venezuela is experiencing.

“Precisely, the more attempts at aggression, at trying to subdue the people of Venezuela, we assume the call that your President has made to us to organize, the more aggression, the greater the organization of the Venezuelan youth and the people,” he indicated.

He added that each of the communes has a “map of dreams”, in the short and medium term, with the aim of continuing to grow in the territories.

“We are going to multiply by hundreds of thousands throughout the territory,” he said in order to continue facing the challenges.
