Fanb destroys logistical material for illegal mining in Amazonas

The Strategic Operational Commander of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (Ceofanb), G/J Domingo Hernández Lárez, reported that logistical materials for illegal mining in the state of Amazonas were seized and destroyed.

He explained that the discovery occurred within the framework of Operation Fog 2025, when members of the Mixed Combat Rapid Response Unit (Urra) were on route and area patrol missions in the Atabapo municipality, specifically in an area surrounding the “Carida” Indigenous Community, in the sector called Mina Nueva.

In the procedure, they were found and destroyed: 800 liters of gasoline type fuel, two 13 HP water suction motors, 30 4″ PVC pipes, six meters of 4″ maraca type hose, six meters of 2″ maraca type hose, 200 meters of 4″ high pressure hose, 50 meters of ½” hose, 100 meters of 2″ hose and twenty meters of black tarp.

“During the operation, all the material and equipment that served as logistical support for the depredation of the environment was destroyed and incinerated for being of prohibited use in accordance with the provisions of the Environmental Criminal Law, violating the legal system and national security and defense. Procedure notified to the Public Ministry,” Hernández Lárez said in the Instagram publication.

On November 10, the Ceofanb commander reported the destruction of a illegal mining campl in the same sector.
