“We were a cool country. We are not aligned with any Fourth Transformation. Screw your mother!” said the musician before his band sang Gimme Tha Power.
“We are here because we are just like you, we are Mexicans and we love this country, where we were born, where we take care of it and although everything is going a little worse for us, this song continues to say the same thing…” he added.

The messages were cheered by the attendees, who proceeded to sing Gimme Tha Power, a song used in marches and demonstrations for years.
After the video of the moment went viral, López Beltrán criticized the Molotov band on social networks.
“I didn’t know the context of that ‘We were a very cool country’. The misplaced and convenient critics were lazy. The truth is, Molotov’s critics stopped being relevant a long time ago. Our people today are better than ever and very happy with the 4T of public life in Mexico,” he told them.
Paco Ayala responded: “I already saw that the paunchy millionaire wrote to us! Haha, from mega fan to idiotic chairo. All politicians, absolutely all of them are worth seeing, but your dad more than all of them together.”

López Beltrán has been criticized for his lifestyle, which has been exposed by journalistic investigations since his father was president of Mexico.
The Molotov gang was founded in 1995, when the PRI maintained political hegemony in Mexico. His lyrics were a response from the beginning to the abuses committed by those in power.
