What is the valid number to consult the AFP schedule?
The DNI has eight consecutive digits, and only the last of those eight numbers is what determines the date on which you can enter your application on the official platform. The number separated by a hyphen—known as the check digit—is not used for the schedule. Its only function is to reinforce the security of the document and validate the user’s identity.
When you enter to make your request, the website or app asks you for the verification digit.
Last valid digit: the one that appears before the script
Check digit: the small number that appears after the dash (does not influence programming).
In the electronic DNI, this verification digit may appear at the top right or on the left side, depending on the version of the document. In no case is it used for AFP withdrawal.
Why is it important to identify this number correctly?
Each member can only register their request on the assigned date. If you enter the procedure out of your turn, the system will not allow it. That is why it is key to correctly review the eight main digits of the document before consulting the calendar.
Official AFP 2025 retirement schedule
The calendar published by the AFP Association orders the registration dates from October 22 (DNI ending in 0) to December 3 (DNI ending in 9). This advance is progressive and is repeated in two days assigned to each digit.
Once this section has concluded, there will be a free period from December 4 to January 18, where any member can send their application regardless of their DNI number.
