Bolivia registered 104 new Covid-19 infections and 1,462 recovered patients in the last 24 hours

Bolivia registered this Sunday 104 new Covid-19 infections, and 1,462 recovered patients. The new cases occurred in Santa Cruz (41), La Paz (28), Cochabamba (15)Tarija (5), Chuquisaca (4), Beni (4), Oruro (3), Potosí and Pando (2).

The report issued on this day by the National Directorate of Epidemiology of the Ministry of Health and Sports also establishes that the national cumulative number of recovered patients to date amounts to 808,628. Of that total, 786 are in La Paz, 373 in Potosí, 224 in Santa Cruz, 60 in Cochabamba, nine in Chuquisaca, six in Beni and four in Oruro.

This day, for the third time so far in March, no deceased persons were registered and the fatality rate so far reaches 0.7%.

In its daily Epidemiological Report, the Ministry of Health and Sports also reported that to date 12.81 million doses were applied between the first, second, third and unit dose to the different age groups of the Sputnik V, AstraZeneca, Sinopharm, Pfizer and Janssen vaccines throughout the national territory.

The report establishes that 683,662 first doses and 415,998 second doses were applied to children between the ages of five and 11, while 743,153 adolescents between the ages of 12 and 17 received the first doses and 541,825 the second.

The total of the vaccines managed and acquired by the national government reaches 23.81 million doses.

“To date, subnational governments have neither managed nor acquired a single vaccine,” the report cites.
