Today authorities are elected in the three orders
The Vote Receiving Commissions will be established minutes before the 8th hour in the Churches of Jesus Christ of the Latter-day Saints of Treinta y Tres Esquina Colón and Treinta y Tres Esquina Diamelas, microcenter and northern zone respectively of the city of Melo.
In other towns or cities, such as Río Branco, for example, circuits will not be installed.
Those authorized to vote in the three orders – students, teachers and graduates – must do so between the hours of 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. today.
The supervision and subsequent scrutiny of this electoral event organized by the University of the Republic will be in charge of the Electoral Court, in the case of Cerro Largo by the Departmental Electoral Office.
With due anticipation, the different Vote Receiving Commissions that will be installed in the city of Melo have been formed.
“For the university elections we have in the order of students and teachers who will be in Circuit 1 in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Treinta y Tres and Colon Street. In this same place a circuit of Architecture and Agronomy graduates will operate” confirmed Carolina Estavillo.
“Circuits 3 to 7 will be in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Thirty-Third and Diamelas streets.” reported the Head of the Cerro Largo Departmental Electoral Office.
“In these vote-receiving commissions there will be 4 or 5 Faculties and some that have only one Faculty, all according to the number of qualified people” he pointed out.
“The Vote Receiving Commissions will be made up of public officials, which are already formed. That is part of the work of our Office” Estavillo said.
“Once the electoral act is over, they carry out the scrutiny for each Faculty. That is why the circuits that have more than one Faculty have a slower scrutiny” accurate.
“After all the counts have been carried out, the Electoral Office carries out a departmental count” commented to THE DIARY PROFESSIONAL.
“In relation to the registers with those authorized to vote, the claims have already been made, the deadlines have expired” he remarked.
“In these elections there is no interdepartmental observed vote. This is an advantage because it facilitates, and above all it makes the work of each circuit more agile.” said the Head of the Cerro Largo Departmental Electoral Office.
“Voting hours are from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.” confirmed.
“The circuits for university elections are only installed in the city of Melo” said Carolina Estavillo.
