The Cicpc-Mariara (Carabobo) opened an investigation to clarify the murder of Wikelman Ernesto Ramírez Maldonado (25), a former player for Navegantes del Magallanes and who was currently a free agent dedicated to a delivery company, according to reports.
Preliminary reports indicate that the incident occurred this Monday at approximately 4 pm in the La Juventud 1 sector, main street, in front of the Auto-Escape la Juventud commercial premises, Guacara parish and municipality, Carabobo state.
Elizabeth Maldonado, mother of the murdered man, told police authorities that she was on the motorcycle with her son (an Empire Horse, black license plate AM1F6G), when they were intercepted by two subjects, who were also traveling on a motorcycle. And that is when the grillman fires several shots at Wikelman, leaving him lifeless at the scene. Then, the perpetrators of the incident fled in an unknown direction.
Passersby notified the police authorities who guarded the site until the arrival of a Cicpc commission that lifted the body, which showed three wounds: an open wound in the mastoid region (behind the skull, behind the ear); another circular in the left hypochondriac region (below the ribs, abdomen) and the third with irregular edges in the right hypogastric region (abdomen), according to preliminary reports.
At the scene of the event, officials collected seven bullet shells and a brown cardboard box, with a logo alluding to the Nelly food company, among others.
The Prosecutor’s Office that is hearing the case is the 34th Public Prosecutor’s Office of the judicial district of the Carabobo state.
