The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, highlighted this Monday that despite the economic war and the difficult situations he has had to face, today the people celebrate life and evidence of this is the massive participation of people in cultural, sporting and religious events.
The statement was made during a meeting with the National Directorate of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (Psuv) and the Jpsyv held in San Bernardino, in the city of Caracas.
The head of state highlighted the massive participation of the Venezuelan people as a demonstration “of maximum social happiness and a victory against the cognitive and economic war.”
“What we have built is impressive,” he added and referred to the acts in honor of the Virgin of Chiquinquirá in the state of Zulia.
“Impressive, look, more than 350,000 people took to the streets to worship Chinita when the lights were turned on!” he said.
He said that the event held last Friday included a colorful drone show that went viral for three days. He recalled that these artifacts were a gift from his Chinese counterpart. “We give Chininita the best party and fairs, in gratitude for all her blessings and all her protection,” said the head of state.
Record in Caracas-Magallanes.
On the other hand, President Maduro referred to the baseball match between the Leones del Caracas and Navegantes del Magallanes teams, held last Sunday.
In this regard, he pointed out that there were a large number of fans at the Simón Bolívar Monumental Stadium of Caracas.
The meeting of the eternal rivals generated the sale of more than 35 thousand tickets, something that was described as impressive by Maduro, especially taking into account that this happens in the middle of an economic and cognitive war.
“It’s impressive how this town celebrates life, here and there,” he said.
