Violence intensifies in the south of the Valley: residents of Robles live in fear after a new attack.

A new attack with grenades shook the tranquility of the town of Robles, in Jamundí. No injuries were reported, but there was structural damage and fear in the community.

On this Monday morning A new attack with grenades was recorded against the Police substation of the Robles districtin a rural area of ​​the municipality of Jamundí, Valle del Cauca.

According to the preliminary report delivered to La FM, although no uniformed personnel or civilian injuries were reported, there were structural damages in the place, which generated concern and fear among the inhabitants.

According to the community, This fact once again set off alarms in the area and caused the confinement of the families to avoid being caught in the middle of possible attacks and confrontations between the public forces and the ‘Jaime Martínez’ front of the FARC dissidents, an illegal armed group that commits crimes in this mountainous area in the south of the department of Valle.

“People are afraid, no one leaves the houses because they don’t know when another attack may occur,” said a resident of Robles.
