The National Service of Meteorology and Hydrology (Senamhi) issued Short-Term Warning No. 313-2025, in which it warns of the possible activation of streams in high areas of the province of Yauli–La Oroya, due to the rains recorded in the last seven days and the high susceptibility to mass movements in the area.

According to the forecast, the districts of Marcapomacocha and Carhuacayán, located above 4,000 m asl and on the border between Junín and the Lima province of Canta, present favorable conditions for the occurrence of landslides, water flows and rapid landslides in streams and small basins. These events could lead to roadblocks and temporary isolation of communities.
The alert is issued in a prevention context, considering the recent landslides recorded between Tarma and Chanchamayo, and seeks for the authorities to adopt immediate measures.

Senamhi recommends local governments review their emergency procedures, reschedule activities in exposed areas, and strengthen the protection of homes and assets.
To date, the municipalities of the province have executed S/ 3,258,581 in actions to reduce vulnerability and respond to disasters; However, it is urged to maintain permanent vigilance in the face of increased rainfall.
