Edmundo González Urrutia demanded this Sunday, November 9, a “certificate of life” from his son-in-law Rafael Tudares Bracho, who has been detained and in a situation of “forced disappearance” for 10 months.
«Many Venezuelans are experiencing the situation of forced disappearance of a family member. “How do you explain what that means to children?” said González Urrutia in a message on social network X.
González Urrutia – in response to a publication by his daughter – pointed out that the last time his grandchildren saw their father “some hooded men were taking him away and leaving them in the street.”
In the publication, Mariana González indicated that 306 days have passed since Tudares Bracho’s arrest, while showing her children’s requests that their father “be fine.”
“I always hope that by some means, someone with a little humanity will send you my messages, or at least tell you that you are not alone, that we are still here fighting to find you, to see you, for your rights and for your freedom,” wrote Mariana González, who reported a few days ago that her husband is facing a trial “in secret” for alleged conspiracy.
She also reaffirmed that the authorities have systematically denied having contact with her husband who, according to the public defender handling her case, would be held in the El Rodeo I prison. “In that prison or detention center I have been denied on more than 30 occasions for him to be there.”
