The annulment of the score ended up costing Inter dearly, who, after leading 2-0, gave up a 2-2 draw and remained in an uncomfortable position in the standings, since they are very close to the relegation zone.

With five days left until the end of the Brazilian Championship, the Porto Alegre team is within reach of the teams trying to get out of the last four places, which are punished with relegation.

He Inter also spoke out about the controversy statement in a statement.

“International reaffirms its commitment to the respect and valorization of women in all spheres of sport and society. A woman’s place is wherever she wants,” stated the management of the ‘colorado’ team in its statement.

The note adds that the Porto Alegre club, whose stadium will be one of those used at the 2027 Women’s World Cupis recognized for its historic defense of women’s football and for being one of the institutions with the largest number of members.

Last year, also when protesting an arbitration decision, Ramón Díaz questioned the fact that a woman was in charge of the VAR to review arbitration decisions in the Brazilian League.

“In relation to the referees, we can’t say much. We have the VAR. But, in the previous match, at home, a lady, a woman, interpreted a penalty in a different way. Football is different. It is difficult for the VAR to be decided by a woman because football is very dynamic and puts a lot of pressure on when decisions have to be made so quickly,” he said then.

At the time both Díaz and Vasco They apologized.
