Naples returns to the fight for the 'Scudetto' and Inter saves a point

The Naples (2nd) won 2-1 this Sunday at Hellas Verona (9th) and Inter (3rd) saved a point (1-1) at Torino (11th) on matchday 29, in the fight to win the ‘Scudetto’.

Napoli (60 points) remains in contact three points behind leader Milan, that on Saturday was imposed by the minimum (1-0) to Empoli (13th).

The team led by Luciano Spalletti rose to second place, after Inter’s draw, thanks to a double, in the victory against Hellas Verona, by the Nigerian Victor Osimhen, from a header to the center by Matteo Politano (14), and after a pass from Giovanni Di Lorenzo (71).

“After the loss against Milan everyone was very hot. We had great determination,” The Nigerian striker, who believes more than ever in the ‘Scudetto’, told DAZN: “We have to keep winning without looking at the results of the other teams. We can do it,” he added.

Hellas, with more bite in the second half, che was confident in his options when Davide Faraoni reduced the header difference (77).

But Federico Ceccherini’s expulsion for a double yellow cut the wings of the locals (83)before a new expulsion, of the scorer Faraoni.

With this loss, Hellas loses contact in battle for Europe. There are five points and those that separate him from a Fiorentina (8th) that defeated Bologna (12th) 1-0 with a goal from the Uruguayan Lucas Torreira.

Before the match, Hellas condemned on Twitter any “act, gesture or expression that could incite hatred, violence and discrimination”, after the appearance the night before of a banner against Napoli with an allusion to the war in Ukraine.

For your part Inter, avoided in added time a defeat at Torino (1-1), but he is already four points behind AC Milan (1st) and, despite having one less game, he no longer depends on himself.

Chilean Alexis Sánchez managed to save a point in added time (min. 90, 1-1), after Inter was behind on the scoreboard since the locals’ early goal, the work of Brazilian defender Bremer (min. 12, 1-0).
