INDOMET forecasts downpours starting at noon

Vaguada and tropical wave will cause downpours this Friday

Santo Domingo.- The Dominican Institute of Meteorology (INDOMET) predicted for this Sunday downpours, electrical storms and gusts of wind due to the incidence of a new trough that will be affecting the country.

The meteorological institution reported that rainfall will increase starting at noon over provinces such as Santo Domingo, San Pedro de Macorís, La Romana, La Altagracia, Hato Mayor, El Seibo, Monte Plata, Sánchez Ramírez, Monsignor Nouel, San Cristóbal, Duarte, Samaná, María Trinidad Sánchez, Espaillat, Hermanas Mirabal, Peravia, Azua, Barahona, San Juan and Elías Piña.

In the aforementioned locations there will be locally moderate to occasionally heavy downpours, with thunderstorms and gusts of wind. For the night, these rains will predominate towards the Caribbean coast.

National District: Isolated clouds with clear intervals during the morning. In the afternoon, showers, thunderstorms and gusts of wind.

Santo Domingo North: Isolated clouds with clear intervals during the morning. In the afternoon, showers, thunderstorms and gusts of wind.

Santo Domingo East: Isolated clouds with clear intervals during the morning. In the afternoon, showers, thunderstorms and gusts of wind.

Santo Domingo West: Isolated clouds with clear intervals during the morning. In the afternoon, showers, thunderstorms and gusts of wind.

Temperatures: the minimum will be between 21 °C and 23 °C, and the maximum between 30 °C and 32 °C
