Coalitions already have their winners: Petro, ‘Fico’ Gutiérrez and Fajardo the chosen ones

The candidates of the Human Colombia – Patriotic Union; GSC We Believe Colombia and the Independent Social Alliance Party “ASI” obtained the majority of the votes.

The inter-party consultations, alliances of political parties or movements, quarreled in an important electoral ‘dispute’ during the day of this Sunday, March 13. Names like Gustavo Petro, ‘Fico’ Gutiérrez and Sergio Fajardo were chosen by the voters.

During the pre-count of the Registrar’s Office and what was revealed in the first bulletins, there were no surprises.

Throughout the assessment of the voting tables, pre-candidates such as Gustavo Petro Urrego took the lead from the first moment, obtaining a total of 16,042 votes (80.34%) up to bulletin number 5.

While the second candidate in dispute in that coalition, Francia Márquez with the endorsement of the Alternative Democratic Pole Party, had 2,588 (12.96%) at the same time.

Behind them and also the Historical Pact, Camilo Romero (Patriotic Union Party Coalition «UP» and Broad Democratic Alliance «ADA»), Arelis Uriana (Indigenous and Social Alternative Movement «MAIS») and Alfredo Saade (Democratic Alliance Broad “ADA”).

Data and differences that were maintained throughout the scrutiny, with Gustavo Petro as leader of said coalition, who in bulletin 13, with 58.51% mthose informed

and a total of 79.82%, achieved 2,428,163 votes.

Team For Colombia

In the Team for Colombia, the head of the internal vote was taken from the count of the first table by Federico Gutiérrez, from GSC We Believe Colombia.

The former mayor of Medellín remained at the top of said inter-party coalition in a categorical way.

Leaving their opponents relegated in an important way.

To the point that in bulletin #9 and with a total of 35.12% mthose informed, had a total of 477,601 votes (56.70%).

Followed by David Barguil of the Colombian Conservative Party, 129,315 votes, (15.35%); Álex Char GSC Country of Opportunities, 118,267 votes (14.04%); Aydeé Lizarazo, Political Party Mira 65,371 (7.76%); and Enrique Peñalosa from the Partido de la U, 51,758 (6.14%).

Bulletin #14

For bulletin #14, Federico Gutiérrez was confirmed as the Team for Colombia candidate, obtaining 1,286,738 votes corresponding to 54.58% of the votes and the 62.93% mthose informed.

While his closest competitor, David Barguil, obtained 380,833 votes at that time, 16.15%.

Thus they congratulated and accepted the victory of ‘Fico’ his opponents.

In the Centro Esperanza coalition, the issue has been much more contentious, initially in the midst of the publication of the count at the tables, the candidate Carlos Amaya, of the Dignity Political Party – Independent Social Alliance Party “ASI” began to “deal the blow” in the board by putting himself above candidate Sergio Fajardo from bulletin #4.

However, after the count progressed, Sergio Fajardo reached who seemed to be the surprise of said coalition and ended up beating him.

Being 6:30 in the afternoon, reaching the bulletin #17 the winner of the Centro Esperanza consultation was confirmed.

Sergio Fajardo had achieved up to that moment 525,447 votes (32.53%), Carlos Amaya 368,772 (22.83%) and Juan Manuel Galán 355,389 votes (22.00%).
