Money to assassinate Senator Miguel Uribe came from Venezuela, claims his father

Miguel Uribe Londoño assured that the origin of the money to pay the murderers of his son, the senator and presidential candidate Miguel Uribe Turbay, does not necessarily imply that the mastermind of the crime is in Venezuela.

The Colombian presidential candidate, Miguel Uribe Londoño, affirmed the funds used to pay the nearly eight people involved in the murder of his son, Senator Miguel Uribe Turbay, were mobilized from Venezuela.

«There is a collaboration with Venezuela, surely this collaboration is going to affect the Government of Venezuela. “There is a connection that remains to be determined. Who in Colombia gave the order and who is the intellectual author?” said Uribe Londoño in a interview with The FM.

The politician cited this information as part of the data provided by the Attorney General’s Office, but assured that the origin of the money does not necessarily imply that the mastermind of the crime is in Venezuela.

The investigation has already identified those involved in the material attack and managed to capture alias ‘El Viejo’, accused of being a link with the ‘Segunda Marquetalia’.

In relation to this link, Uribe Londoño stated that “the ‘Second Marquetalia’ is in Venezuela. “He commits crimes in Venezuela and does so with the authorization of Gustavo Petro and Nicolás Maduro.”

Colombia’s Defense Minister, Pedro Sánchez, confirmed in August that alias ‘Zarco Aldinever’, a FARC dissident leader allegedly involved in the attack against the presidential candidate, died in Venezuela.

The minister indicated that the alleged leader of the Second Marquetalia died at the hands of the National Liberation Army (ELN), near the Colombian-Venezuelan border.
