Macroeconomic expectations improved in October compared to September, according to the latest survey by the Central Reserve Bank (BCR). In this way, 16 of the 18 indicators were located in the optimistic range (above 50 points).
In this way, expectations about the economy in three months went from 55.6 points to 55.9 points, while the company’s investment also in that period rose from 55.9 points to 56.3 points.
Meanwhile, the company’s 12-month investment indicator increased from 64.1 points to 65.3 points. The same thing happened with personnel hiring, which rose to 63.7 points from 62.8 points in September.
Similarly, the BCR survey revealed that the current business situation index was raised from 54.2 points to 55.6 points, as well as the sales index, which went from 58.3 points to 58.4 points.
PROJECTIONS
The data also showed that both economic analysts, the financial system and non-financial companies maintained their growth projection of 3.1% for this year.
However, expectations about the exchange rate were reduced. In the case of economic analysts, they estimate that the dollar will close the year at S/3.40, when in September they estimated S/3.56. The financial system varied its projection from S/3.56 to S/3.50 and non-financial companies from S/3.6 to S/3.5.
