The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, reiterated that various surveys carried out in the region reflect the rejection of the people of the world against the threats of the United States (US) government, which keeps military ships deployed in the Caribbean Sea.
“In South America, the Caribbean and the United States, no one wants a war,” said the head of state on his Telegram channel, while stating that the opinion around the world against these illegal actions that seek to threaten the peace of Venezuela, Colombia and the entire region is overwhelming.
In this sense, he congratulated the women and men “who remain mobilized to avoid escalations and win peace,” while urging them to continue their permanent mobilization. “No to war, yes to peace!” he wrote.
“That is one of our key ways to win peace in all the situations that we have experienced (…) with the people in the streets, there is no fascism with trauma,” he emphasized.
