In 2024, the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation (SCJN) received 16,370 jurisdictional matters, which represented a decrease of 4.9 percent compared to 2023, of which 48.3 percent corresponded to the direct protection under review, revealed the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (Inegi). When presenting the results of the National Census of the Delivery of Federal and State Justice, the Inegi specified that last year 13,979 jurisdictional matters were discharged from the SCJN, 6.9 percent less than the previous year.
The direct protection under review concentrated 48.3 percent of the jurisdictional matters entered (shifts) and 61.7 percent of those graduated (ruled, resolved by opinion or agreement) in the Court.
